The most common gap in a move
Tenancies rarely end and begin on the same day. In the city of Lucerne, flats are scarce as well, so people take what comes free even when the date does not fit ideally.
Instead of moving twice or paying two rents in parallel, you store in between. We load on the day you move out, store and deliver as soon as you can take possession. For you it is one move, not two.

For building work and emergencies too
Short term storage helps with more than a change of flat. During building work, a new floor, painting, a new kitchen, the furniture has to come out for a few weeks. After water damage the same applies, often at short notice.
For such cases short term storage is set up to be flexible: it starts at one week and can be extended at any time without a new contract. See also emergency move.
What you should keep to hand
Whatever you need during the storage period should not go into storage. Clothes for the season, important papers, chargers, medication, those belong in a separate box that stays with you.
It sounds obvious but it is regularly forgotten. We point it out when the goods go in, and we get individual items out in between on request.

Frequently asked questions
What is the shortest storage period?
One week. Shorter periods are billed as one week as well.
Can I extend?
At any time, without a new contract. Just let us know in good time.
Is short term storage more expensive than long term?
Per week, yes; for longer periods better rates apply. From about three months, long term storage is worth it.
Does it run together with the move?
Yes, that is the normal case. Loading, storing and delivering then belong to one quote.
