More than a transport
Moving into a care home or a smaller flat is almost never just about shifting furniture. Usually a whole household has to be reduced: what comes along, what goes to the family, what is passed on, what is disposed of? Those decisions take time and should not be taken on moving day.
So we plan calmly and in consultation with you or with relatives. If you like, we come several times: once to look and talk it through, once to pack, once to move.

The new home should be ready to live in
A room in a care home is small, and it makes a great difference whether the familiar things stand in the right place. We put the furniture where it was agreed, hang the pictures, make the bed and connect the lamps and the television.
Where it makes sense we draw a simple plan beforehand: which pieces of furniture actually fit into the new room? That spares the disappointment of finding on the day that the favourite wardrobe will not go in.
What happens to the old household
The old household is rarely taken along in full. Whatever stays behind we handle on request as a household liquidation: we set aside what the family wants to keep, pass usable items on through the Brocki service and dispose of the rest properly.
After that we clean the flat with a handover guarantee and, if you wish, attend the handover to the property management. That leaves relatives with very little to organise.

Frequently asked questions
Can relatives organise everything, even from a distance?
Yes, that is often how it works. We coordinate by phone and email, send photos and record what was agreed in writing. One contact person accompanies the whole job.
Do you really set up the new home completely?
Yes. Furniture in place, bed made, pictures hung, lamps and appliances connected. So that the first evening is not spent among boxes.
How do you handle personal belongings?
Documents, photographs, jewellery and keepsakes are set aside separately and handed over in person. We dispose of nothing that has not been explicitly discussed.
What does a senior move cost?
It depends on the scope, a move on its own or a move with household clearance and cleaning. After a free survey you receive a quote that lists every part separately.
