What we take on for a private move
A private move is made up of many tasks that interlock: packing, dismantling, protecting, carrying, driving, reassembling. You decide which of them sit with us, from transport only to the full package where all you do at the end is hand over the keys.

Packing service and materials
Boxes and packing materials come from us. On request we pack crockery, glassware, books and clothes, padded and labelled.
Dismantling and reassembly
We take apart beds, wardrobes and shelving, transport them protected and put them back up at the new address.
Protection for floors and furniture
Blankets and film protect your furniture. Where needed we cover delicate floors, door frames and the stairwell.
Furniture lift
If the wardrobe does not fit through the stairwell, it goes in over the balcony or through the window on the furniture lift.
Disposal
Whatever is not coming along, we take away on the day. Usable items go on through the Brocki service, the rest into disposal.
Cleaning and storage
Book the move-out cleaning for the handover and interim storage in the same order.
Moving day in the canton of Lucerne
Most people move at the end of the month, and that is exactly when everyone else is busy too. In the city of Lucerne, parking is scarce and in the old town it is sometimes impossible to stop directly outside the building. So we settle the arrival time and the parking spot beforehand, not on the morning of the move.
In the lakeside and hillside municipalities, Weggis, Vitznau, Meggen, Horw, the approach itself is often the bottleneck: narrow roads, long private driveways, steep ramps. We look at that in advance too and choose the vehicle size accordingly.
What you can prepare yourself
If you pack yourself, consistency helps most: label boxes by room, put heavy things in small boxes, cables and screws into labelled bags. Whatever you need on the first evening belongs in a separate, clearly marked box.
Sorting out beforehand helps just as much. Anything that is going anyway does not need transporting, which saves volume and therefore cost. Simply tell us what is coming along and what is to be disposed of.

Frequently asked questions
How many moving boxes do I need?
As a rough rule: ten to fifteen boxes per room, and considerably more if you own a lot of books. We would rather deliver a few too many; boxes you do not use are taken back.
Do I have to be there during the move?
It makes sense to be there at the start and at the end, to show what goes where. You do not have to be present all day.
Do you move on Saturdays?
Yes. Saturday slots are in demand, which is why enquiring early pays off particularly well.
Can you take a piano along?
Yes. We plan pianos and grand pianos as a separate step with the right equipment, see piano transport.
