No two moves are alike. A studio in the city of Lucerne, an office in Root and a farmhouse in the Entlebuch make entirely different demands on the vehicle, the team and the schedule. So we first work out which kind of job it is, before naming a figure.
Private move
The private move covers flats and houses, with packing, furniture assembly and protection for your belongings.
Office move
For an office move we plan so that work can resume on Monday: labelled, phased, reassembled.
Company relocation
A company relocation also covers the warehouse, workshop and archive, including safe transport.
Senior move
For a senior move we take our time, set up the new home and clear the old household if you wish.
International and long distance
For the international move and the long distance move we organise route, documents and interim storage.
Emergency and public sector
An emergency move runs at short notice; a government move follows the tender and a written record.
What determines the price
Four things decide it: the volume of goods, the access at both addresses, the route and the extra services. Access is the one people underestimate. Three floors without a lift and fifty metres to the vehicle cost more time than twenty kilometres of driving.
So for larger moves we look at both addresses before we quote. You then choose between a fixed price for a clearly defined scope and billing by actual time and material. Both are set out transparently in the quote, and whatever you handle yourself drops out of it.
Everything from one company
Changing flats rarely consists of transport alone. Usually a move-out cleaning with a handover guarantee belongs to it, the disposal of whatever is not coming along, sometimes interim storage and, with a tight stairwell, a furniture lift.
You can order all of that separately from different firms or combine it here in one quote. The practical difference shows up on moving day: one contact person, one schedule, no coordinating between providers who do not know each other.

Frequently asked questions
What does a move in the canton of Lucerne cost?
It depends on volume, access at both addresses, the route and any extras. A studio within the city of Lucerne is well below a household moving from Kriens to the Entlebuch. After a free survey you receive a binding quote.
When should I book?
As soon as the date is fixed. The days around the end of the month are in heaviest demand, especially in spring and summer. For those dates we recommend a few weeks of lead time; we still look at short notice requests.
Do you supply moving boxes?
Yes. We deliver boxes and packing materials in good time. On request we also pack for you, which pays off above all for crockery, glassware and books.
Do I need a permit for the removal van?
If the vehicle or the furniture lift stands on public ground, the municipality usually requires a permit. In the city of Lucerne that is the rule. We arrange it in advance.
Is my furniture insured during transport?
Yes. We agree the cover before the move. For particularly valuable single items, instruments, art, antiques, we agree the value separately.
