Why we do not hire it out without an operator
A furniture lift looks simple and is not. It has to be braced and levelled correctly, the load has to be placed and secured properly, and the movements have to be coordinated with the team above.
If something goes wrong, the load falls several storeys, onto a road, a pavement or a front garden. That is why we make no exception here, even though we are asked regularly.
What our staff take on
Erecting and bracing on load bearing ground, levelling, cordoning off the area beneath the lift, placing and securing the load, operating throughout the job, coordinating with the team at the window or balcony, and dismantling.
You do not have to operate anything, watch anything or cordon anything off. The responsibility for proper operation lies with us, not with you.

Liability and permits
Whoever operates a lift themselves is liable for damage to the facade, to vehicles and to people. With our operator that responsibility sits with us, a point that comes up regularly with landlords and property managers.
If public ground is used, we also arrange the permit with the municipality. See also hiring a furniture lift and exterior furniture lift.

Frequently asked questions
Can I really not operate the lift myself?
No. We hire out only with an operator. With a load falling from several storeys up, it is not only about damage to property.
How many people come with the lift?
At least one person operates it. Whether additional staff are needed for loading and unloading depends on the job and is stated in the quote.
Who is liable if something is damaged?
We are liable for the proper operation of the lift. That is one of the reasons property managers ask for the version with an operator.
Is the operator included in the price?
Yes. With us there is no price without an operator, which is why it is not shown separately.
