Why windows decide the inspection
The glass itself is rarely the problem. What gets objected to are the rebates, the grooves the casement sits in, and the blind slats. Dirt collects there that goes unnoticed in ordinary cleaning but shows up immediately at an inspection.
That is why window cleaning is part of our move-out cleaning and not an extra billed separately. Leaving it out saves little and risks a second appointment.
What we clean
The job covers glass on both sides, frames inside and out, the rebates and the blinds or shutters as far as they are reachable. With glazing bars and with box windows, common in older Lucerne buildings, the effort is higher; we say so beforehand.
How high we can work without special equipment is settled at the enquiry. For exterior surfaces higher up we will tell you honestly when a specialist is the better answer.
One off or periodic
Private households usually clean once or twice a year, plus before handing back a flat. For business premises the frequency depends on the location and the use, and on busy roads it is considerably higher.
For regular visits we record the frequency in the cleaning plan; see office cleaning.

Frequently asked questions
Are blinds included in the price?
On handover cleans, yes. For a separate window cleaning we show them in the quote, because the effort varies a great deal by type of blind.
Do you clean windows on upper floors?
Inside, always. Outside it depends on access and height. Tell us the storey with your enquiry so that we settle it beforehand rather than on site.
How often should windows be cleaned?
Once or twice a year privately, more often for business premises. On busy locations, for instance along the main routes in Lucerne and Emmen, the interval is shorter.
What about old box windows?
They are common in older Lucerne buildings and take more time, because both layers are cleaned separately. We allow for that in the quote.
